President's Message

Greetings! Let’s praise God for another Sabbath day and worship Him with joyful hearts today! Also, I pray that you and yours are healthy and safe, by God’s grace.

This morning I reflected on the current situation of our world. The things that we see and hear match exactly what the Bible prophecies tell us regarding the way human history will conclude on this side of God’s universe. It is comforting to know that God is in control of all things (I Chro. 29:11-12; Phil. 4:6-7) and is also eager to finally put an end to the suffering and misery that sin has created (II Peter 3:9; Rev. 21:1-5). No wonder He paid the highest possible price for our redemption through the death of Jesus Christ for our sins (John 3:16-17). We are blessed to believe in His promises and provision for our eternal salvation.

As we wait for the fulfilment of the blessed hope (Titus 2:13), our enemy will keep pursuing to discourage and lead us to doubt God’s caring love and forgiveness. While considering this, I read a beautiful quotation from the SOP that should be a source of encouragement for all of us. “Whatever may have been your past experience, however discouraging your present circumstances, if you will come to Jesus just as you are, weak, helpless, and despairing, our compassionate Saviour will meet you a great way off, and will throw about you His arms of love and His robe of righteousness. He presents us to the Father clothed in the white raiment of His own character. He pleads before God in our behalf, saying: I have taken the sinner’s place. Look not upon this wayward child, but look on Me. Does Satan plead loudly against our souls, accusing of sin, and claiming us as his prey, the blood of Christ pleads with greater power.” (EGW, MB, 8) Yes, our Saviour is on our side, always!

Please find below the link to our Conference’s latest video (5 min). It features the ministry that our school in McBride is doing in their community during this health crisis. It is an amazing story!\
