The BC Conference Ministerial Department exists to equip and empower pastors and elders to thrive spiritually, mentally, and physically, foster holistic pastoral care, nurture effective leadership, and inspire dynamic evangelism, all grounded in the principles of learning, loving, living, and leading.

In the Ministerial Department, we are guided by four core values to align with the values of our BC Conference:

These four values represent four aspects of our service to God and people in our churches and communities.

The Ministerial Department focus on:

• Pastor’s health – spiritual, mental & physical
  • This focus emphasizes the holistic well-being of pastors, recognizing that their spiritual, mental, and physical health is vital for effective ministry. The aim is to provide resources, support systems, and programs that empower pastors to maintain balance and resilience in their personal and professional lives.
• Pastoral care & leadership
  • This focus is dedicated to enhancing the capacity of pastors to provide compassionate care and exhibit strong, Christ-centered leadership. It involves equipping pastors with tools, training, and mentorship to lead their congregations with vision, empathy, and purpose.
• Public Evangelism
  • This focus underscores the importance of outreach and sharing the gospel with the wider community. The goal is to inspire and equip pastors and their congregations to engage in intentional, impactful evangelistic efforts that foster spiritual growth and community transformation.
