HEAD COOK (Camp Hope)

The British Columbia Conference is seeking applications for the position of Head Cook for The Mountain View Camp and Conference Centre Lodge (Camp Hope).

Interested applicants must have experience preparing and cooking a wide variety of both plant-based and lacto-ovo diet styles.  Ideally, the Head Cook will be able to demonstrate excellent supervisory skills, oversee all kitchen operations, plan menus, and maintain an inventory of foods and supplies.

Camp Hope Lodge caters to retreats and seminars mostly held on weekends throughout the year, with group sizes ranging from 20 to 400 guests.  We also cater to occasional events such as weddings and reunions.  The annual BC Conference 15-day Camp Pitch/Camp Meeting, held during the summer of each year, is the highlight of work at the camp.  MVCCC is also recognized as an emergency shelter in the Fraser Canyon region, and we are sometimes required to take care of the varying dietary needs of these guests.
