President's Message

JESUS’ HANDS ARE ALWAYS READY TO BLESS US!

Greetings! May our hearts be full of gratitude and praise as we come before the Lord on this Sabbath day. This should always be a joyful occasion for us to celebrate His everlasting goodness!

We hope to be able to gradually return to worship our Heavenly Father in our churches starting next Sabbath. However, it is of utmost importance to have a plan that includes all the necessary steps, preparations, and adjustments to provide a safe environment for all who come to gather in our buildings. The local church leadership needs to take all the necessary precautions and comply with the strict Provincial Ministry of Health protocols and regulations. It is imperative to secure the cooperation from the members for that to happen. If the church facility and/or the congregation are not ready yet, it will be better to do some more work on this matter before re-opening the church.

This week, I was truly blessed by an inspired quotation that was part of a message that I received from a friend. As I share it with you, I sincerely wish that you also gain a blessing from it today. “Press close to Jesus, and place your hand in His, and He will firmly hold your hand, and never let go of the soul who maintains his faith in Him… .” (EGW, The Upward Look, 42) Amazing, isn’t it?

I pray that all of us reach out confidently to the available and powerful hands of our Saviour. They are always wide open to receive, uplift, guide, sustain, and protect us. No matter how difficult the problems or circumstances are — we are never alone! It is comforting to know that Jesus cares about us deeply and is by our side as we face the challenges of this world. The Scriptures are full of promises that attest to that — Isaiah 40:29-31; 41:10, 13; 43:1-3, Matthew 24:13; John 16:33; Hebrews 13:5b; I John 5:4, etc. We should never lose heart or be afraid of any situation because He will see us through!

Let’s continue to pray for each other, serve God’s people gladly, and depend on Him!

Happy Sabbath!

In His Service,

Wesley Torres

President
