President's Message

Greetings! I pray that we all rejoice in the Lord on this Sabbath day and thank Him for protecting us during this week — He is our shield!

This morning I read a beautiful and inspiring SOP quotation. I would like to share it with you hoping and praying that it will bring joy to your heart and a smile in your face. “Christ might commission the angels of heaven to pour out the vials of His wrath on our world, to destroy those who are filled with hatred of God. He might wipe this dark spot from His universe. But He does not do this. He is today standing at the altar of incense, presenting before God the prayers of those who desire His help.” (EGW, DA, 568) This message presents our Saviour as He really is — loving, compassionate, and interested in the well-being of His children. Yes, Christ is eager to bless, comfort, relieve the burden, and impart His forgiveness to any contrite soul who approaches Him. He is ready to hear the sincere prayers and answer those who claim His promises at any moment, especially as they seek His presence in their lives. I am certain that you and I have received these blessings in “our walk” with Him!

The current health crisis has impacted the world tremendously and created much anxiety in hearts of people out there. However, this situation provides us the opportunity to fully trust in Jesus, grow in our relationship in Him, depend on Him, and find solace in the assurance of His intercession for us. We are blessed for knowing and experiencing His grace, which is always available to us. Christ’s divine power acts in our benefit — He is just a prayer away! Also, He gives us the privilege to be involved in His Great Commission to share these promises with those around us (Matt. 28:19-20). We are God’s ambassadors!

NB: Please, let’s pray for the final IIW virtual evangelistic meetings with Pastor John Bradshaw this weekend and specially for the contacts made in our communities during this campaign.

Thank you for your committed service to God’s people!

Happy Sabbath!

In His Service,

Wesley Torres
