President's Message

WE ARE HIS CHURCH!

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Today I want to thank the Lord for His free and wonderful salvation and also for the privilege to be involved with you in sharing this message to all around us. This current health crisis caught us humanly unprepared to face it. That was (is) a sign for us to re-consecrate our lives to God, grow in our faith, develop a daily spiritual plan with Him, and to depend on Him alone.

This morning, I would like to share with you one of my favorite quotations from the Spirit of Prophecy.  “I testify my dear brethren and sisters that the church of Christ, enfeebled and defective as it may be, is the only object on earth on which He bestows His supreme regard.” (EGW, TM, 15) Now, who is the church? Is it our buildings, institutions, or organization? No! As important as those might be for the purpose that they fulfill, how comforting is to know that God’s church is His people — you and me. Yes, God values the intimate spiritual relationship that He wants to enjoy with us as a means to convey to the world His plan for His children. We could only be empowered to represent Him in this mission when we are united in our hearts, minds, purpose to love and serve the Lord, and enjoy His presence in our midst as a family.

I encourage each of us to take this current situation of not being able to physically gather together in our congregations as an opportunity to make every effort to stay connected to one another. Let’s ask the Lord to inspire us to be creative in the ways we can support each of our spiritual and blood family members, “bond” with our neighbors and school/work friends and show them God’s amazing love. Perhaps, some of those who do not participate in our faith might be wondering what is going on… Yes, we are blessed, even while on this challenging situation — we are not alone, God is on our side!

Please find below the link to a short message prepared for our church family in BC, followed by the beautiful testimony of Justin, a young person who is using “his talents” to share God’s love with others.

Also, let’s pray for our schools as they start in a new format (digital) next week.

Remain strong, faithful, protected, and healthy in God’s loving arms!

Happy Sabbath!

In His Service,
