LET US BE A SOURCE OF ENCOURAGEMENT!
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
We are living in an unprecedented time. There are lots of fear, confusion, instability, and serious doubts in people’s minds because of the current health crisis related to the coronavirus. I am certain that these are signs of the times. Therefore, I would kindly encourage all of us to stand firm on our faith in God and His wonderful promises. He has never failed us before nor will He now /ever! There are so many comforting promises in His Word that attest to that. This is a time for us to reflect in His care and protection shown to His people and the assurance that we are in His hands!
As our churches are closed due to the governmental health regulations, I would kindly encourage us to invest even more time in the study of God’s Word, memorize as many of His promises found there as possible, stay in contact with our beloved church family through phone calls, e-mails, text messages, etc. Yes, let’s stay connected as we should be a source of encouragement to each other! Our pastors are working hard to reach out to their local congregations through online messages and creative ministry. This is a golden opportunity for us to take advantage of technology to continue to do ministry! All of these will be soothing to our own souls, bind us together, allow us to do service, and generate an amazing sense of spiritual “responsibility” for each other as a community of faith.
I would like to remind us of three beautiful Bible gems for this Sabbath day. I am convinced they will bring our hearts closer to God and strengthen our confidence in His leadership over our lives:
“He existed before anything else, and He holds all creation together.” (Colossians 1:17 NLT)
“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 NASB)
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5b NIV)
Please find below the link to a comforting and special message from Elder Mark Johnson, SDACC President. I am sure it will bring our minds and hearts closer to God’s throne of grace.

May God bless us all as we depend on Him, alone!
Happy Sabbath!
