Living with Hope!
Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Early tomorrow morning, I will have the privilege to meet with one of our volunteer leaders in the Lower Mainland and support his ministry for the Lord and return on time to worship God as an ordinary member with my family at our home church. God is good!
After a very spiritual & blessed Camp Meeting – refreshing messages, wonderful fellowship, peaceful and inviting environment, and a perfect weather… I thought of sharing a beautiful thought with you: “A Christian will part with anything rather than his hope; he knows that hope will keep the heart both from aching and breaking, from fainting and sinking; he knows that hope is a beam of God, a spark of glory, and that nothing shall extinguish it until the soul be filled with glory.” (Thomas Brooks, Heaven on Earth, 24)
Yes, hope is cited by Paul as one of the greatest attributes of Christianity (I Cor. 13:13) as the Bible is abundant with verses of hope (Psalm 147:11; Isa. 40:31; Jer. 29:11; Rom. 5:5; Col. 1:27; Titus 2:13, etc).
My prayer is that we never lose sight of this message of hope – a better world with Christ – starting with us, His commissioned Ambassadors of Hope to share God’s love with all of those around us. This will inspire us to commit ourselves to love and serve the Lord and His children faithfully, always!
On Sunday morning, I will be leaving to Oshkosh, WI, for the whole week to support and be with our Pathfinders – Chosen NAD International Camporee. Please, keep the 50,000+ Pathfinders in your prayers.
The Sabbath message will resume on August 24.
Happy Sabbath!
In His Service,
Wesley Torres, D.Min.
