Good morning,
This week we were updated by our Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, of some changes to the current PHO orders. Although some changes were instated, sadly, most of them are for personal activities and there is little change for church activities. Tonight, at 12:01 AM, these are the restrictions that will be in effect for church functions:
- Inside worship services have no restrictions if all participants 12 years and older are fully vaccinated. If not, only 50% of room capacity can be used. (Communion has always been part of a worship service)
- Inside gatherings for the purpose of bible study, prayer or business allowed at full room capacity, with all participants 12 years or older requiring the full vaccine passport.
(Business meetings include board meetings, committee meetings, nominations, etc.).
- Outdoor gatherings allowed without size or vaccine restrictions.
- Potlucks allowed at full room capacity, with all participants 12 years or older requiring the full vaccine passport.
- Funeral and wedding ceremonies allowed without size or vaccine restriction. Receptions allowed at full room capacity, with all participants 12 years or older requiring the full vaccine passport.
- Adventurer/Pathfinder meetings allowed, but leaders (anyone 12 years or older that is leading out) require the full vaccine passport. Participants who are 12 years or older are not required to have the full vaccine passport.
- Masks still required for anyone born in 2017 or earlier (5+) when indoors.
