President's Message

WALKING CLOSER WITH GOD IN 2022!

Greetings and Happy New Year! Thank God for another year of His love and protection last year. I sincerely pray that all of us are certain that He will continue to guide and bless us during 2022 — we are always safe and secure in His hands. (Deuteronomy 33:27 / AH # 469)

Today is the first day of 2022. This reality presents an amazing opportunity for us to think and reflect about some resolutions that we ought to make in our lives during this new year. I would like to suggest a few for all of us to consider. They are:

1 – We should not live by what we see or feel, but whawe as Christians believe, based on the foundations of God’s Word. Faith is something that only those who possess and exercise it know what it means! (Hebrews 11)

2 – Family is the greatest shared asset we will ever have on this side of God’s universe. We ought to love and invest time for it to grow and be fully expressed within that blessed circle that God has given to us. Family is the foundation of our society. (Ephesians 5:22 – 6:4)

3 – Life is too short! We should take advantage of every moment to value and cherish it with those we love and make use of every opportunity to support, encourage, and enrich them. The essence of life is to give and depend on the Lord, always! (Matthew 6:25-33)

4 – The good that we do to others should be the natural expression of our practical Christianity – we become the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. Our Master confirmed that it blesses us more than those who receive it from us. (Acts 9:36-43)

5 – Balance is a key word for health and happiness. It is vital in everything that we do and live by. It reminds us of our limitations, and it helps us to realize that its purpose is to prolong the quality of our living! (Ecclesiastes 3)

6 – We must not make decisions without having all possible elements being seriously considered first. Hasty decisions will make us suffer slowly! (Proverbs 28:25)

7 – We should value what we have before we may realize what we have lost! (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18)

8 – Yesterday is a cashed check. Tomorrow is a promissory note. Today is cash. We should use it wisely and live each day as if it were our last day on earth. The opportunities of today may not be there tomorrow! (2 Corinthians 6:2)

9 – We ought to ask ourselves individually: What legacy could I leave behind me? Our decision “to plant a tree” should not be based on the expectation to eat from its fruits, but to provide something that will be our contribution to the common good of everyone, especially those who will follow us! (Deuteronomy 6:5-7)

10 – Sin entered God’s universe because of pride. Unfortunately, many will also lose their salvation because of it. Although our greatest enemy is our own self, the solution is to humbly surrender ourselves to the Holy Spirit’s pleas. (Romans 7:24-25)

11 – We should always remember that our strength comes from the Lord. He is our source of vision, joy, courage, determination; and He is also the One who inspires us to love justice and mercy and to walk humbly with Him. By choosing to do that, we will do the right thing just because it is the right thing to do! (Micah 6:8)

12 – Above all, we must guard our heart. It is evil by its own nature and only God can and is willing to change and make it clean and pure. It supplies life or death to our souls – the choice is completely ours! (Proverbs 4:23)

May God bless and guide us during this New Year. We have 365 clean pages for our story to be written on this new book. We can write it ourselves or invite the Holy Spirit to guide and inspire us to do it together with Him. That partnership with Him is infallible and invincible. What will we choose? We are the only ones who could answer that question, individually.

Please find the link below to our Conference first video for 2022. Pastor Doug Pond shares a powerful testimony related to the transformation that took place at the Nelson Church, by God’s grace. This story is a good start to inspires us for this New Year!

Thank you for your continuous and marvelous contributions for the enhancement of God’s Cause in our Conference. (Colossians 1:27) Also, thank you for the privilege to work closely with you. Yes, we are “Almost Home!”

Happy Sabbath!

In His Service,
