Kandus Thorp is passionate in her love of Jesus and desire for others to meet Jesus and experience a personal relationship with Him. Her sincere and genuine love for Jesus is contagious. Most recently she has been leading Zoom Growing in Jesus classes. She enjoys facilitating meaningful discussion with participants and exploring together the deep themes of the life of Jesus and the Bible.
Kandus, alongside her husband Brad, are co-founders of the Seventh-Day Adventist church’s global Hope Channel International television network. She has travelled extensively across the globe, visiting and working in nearly seventy countries. While at Hope Channel, seven Telly Awards were awarded to Kandus and her production teams, recognizing their creative excellence. For eight years she produced and anchored Hope Channel’s popular music series, My Story, My Song, and also co-hosted the live television prayer program, Let’s Pray!
As a public speaker, Kandus has inspired audiences with stories of God’s miraculous intervention in very challenging circumstances. Kandus’ topics are dynamic, spirit-filled and she is known for authentic refreshing and simple Biblical approaches to practical daily living.
Kandus loves building friendships and has many wonderful friends around the world. In her free time, she enjoys landscaping, growing flowers, interior design, sewing, and hospitality ministry. Kandus is an accomplished pianist. She and her husband love the outdoors and enjoy camping, skiing, and 4×4 quading together. They are proud parents of three wonderful sons. Their family circle has happily widened to include three beautiful ‘daughters’ and four cherished grandchildren.
