Dr. Ern Brake is author of the soon-to-be-published book, FULL POWER: Nature’s Formula for Optimal Vitality – written for non-Adventists.
As a young atheist seeker in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ern was struck with how the Bible made health claims that could be tested and validated in the real world. He saw how Bible principles inspired hope and provided a strategy for optimal vitality – defined as peak performance in all areas of life – physical, mental, social, and spiritual.
After graduating from Canadian Union College (now Burman University) Ern served as a pastor for 25 years in Newfoundland and British Columbia, continually experimenting with health outreach. Then he worked in the BC Conference office for 11 years. During that time, he served as Ministerial Director, Health Ministries Director for 8 years, strategic planner/trainer, and Vice-President of the BC Conference.
His doctorate degree from Andrews University focused on how to teach secular post-modern seekers. After 36 years of church service, Ern retired early to research, write, and teach lifestyle medicine and personal growth principles for a world crying for help. Ern says, “Not only is the health message the ‘entering wedge’ of evangelism, it is the answer to the cry of the culture.”
His presentations will focus on how to boost the one system in the body that protects all others – the immune system.
Ern lives in Parksville, BC, with his wife, June.
