God’s Amazing Word – Bible Conference

Greetings from Abbotsford! This morning, I will worship the Lord and share His Word with our Cornerstone Church family (English). In the afternoon, I will join a Bible Conference at the White Rock Church (WRC) with Dr. Frank Hasel from the GC Biblical Research Institute as he continues leading an amazing series of studies on the Scriptures. Please keep these two church families in your prayers today.

My “soul” was blessed by Dr. Hasel’s Biblical presentation at the WRC last evening. He spoke about the inspiration of the Scriptures. It was a meticulous, inspiring, solid, enjoyable, and practical study! Today, he will present the topics The Wrath of God and God’s Holiness, his personal testimony on his Christian journey with the Lord, and will share some thoughts about his latest book Longing for God. The Bible Conference will continue this afternoon with related topics on God’s character.

How comforting is to know that we have a Father who revealed Himself to His servants, the prophets! Then, He inspired them to write, in human words, about His will and plan of salvation in Christ for His children. To this day, He illuminates our minds and hearts, individually and collectively, as we gather together to study His Word, His special revelation to us. The Bible is trustworthy, true, and a firm foundation. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” II Tim. 3:16-17 (NKJV)

“It is not the words of the Bible that are inspired, but the men that were inspired. Inspiration acts not on the man’s words or his expressions but on the man himself, who under the influence of the Holy Ghost, is imbued with thoughts. But the words receive the impress of the individual mind. The divine mind is diffused. The divine mind and will is combined with the human mind and will, thus the utterances of the man are the Word of God.” EGW, SM, 21.

I pray that God’s Word will always have a special place in our hearts as it leads us to Him.
