The Power of Humility

Greetings from Abbotsford - home, sweet home! Today, my family and I will meet with a group of fellow Brazilian believers that is slowly coming into existence in Coquitlam, led by Pastor Mazur. I will have the privilege to share God’s Word with them as we worship the Lord and fellowship together during this Sabbath day. Please keep this group in your prayers.

I was blessed during my devotional this morning. As I was reading the chapter “Who is the Greatest?” from the Desire of Ages, a special quotation spoke to my heart. “Before honor is humility. To fill a high place before men, Heaven chooses the worker who, like John the Baptist, takes a lowly place before God. The most childlike disciple is the most efficient in labor for God. The heavenly intelligences can co-operate with him who is seeking, not to exalt self, but to save souls. He who feels most deeply his need of divine aid will plead for it; and the Holy Spirit will give unto him glimpses of Jesus that will strengthen and uplift the soul. From communion with Christ he will go forth to work for those who are perishing in their sins. He is anointed for his mission; and he succeeds where many of the learned and intellectually wise would fail.” DA, 436. EGW’s words about humility is an inspiration for all of us, as we serve God’s people, following the example of Jesus.

I pray for Christ’s transforming and empowering gift of humility and a loving heart for all of us as we gather with our brothers and sisters to worship Him and serve them in His name, today and always!

Also, please pray for:

1 - The evangelistic campaign in Burns Lake with Pastors St.Hilaire and Kwak.

2 - The Depression Recovery Training with Dr. Daniel Dreher & Elder Ed Dunn, aiming to train individuals to minister to the First Nations people - at Camp Hope this weekend.

Happy Sabbath!

In His Service,
