Love is Contagious!

Something very special happened in our Conference. Pastor Michael Dauncey of Church in the Valley, on his own wish, decided to donate one of his kidneys to a church member, Br. Jun Anchetta, who was suffering because of his risky health condition. This made the news in the Province’s major vehicles of communication. The surgery took place on Thursday and started with a prayer by Pastor Dauncey for the whole medical team. It was successful - the donated kidney worked well in the recipient’s body immediately! This was an amazing act of love and compassion of our pastor for our brother in Christ!

This is a powerful testimony about the transformation that the sacrificial love of God can do in one’s heart. Genuine love is contagious! It takes full control and permeates one’s life completely and it manifests itself through a natural response of acts of kindness and grace in the lives of others! In His Word, God says: "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands…” (Isa. 49:15-16 NIV)Yes, we dwell in God’s loving heart and our names are written on His saving hands! He has given us Jesus, our Savior! He offered Himself as the sacrificial lamb in our place to pay the ransom for our salvation and give us eternal life. How contagious could we be for Him today as a response of His love for us?

Today, please pray with me:

1 - For Pastor Dauncey and Br. Anchetta as they recover from that major surgery.

2 - For our BC Conference Workers Meeting next weekend at Camp Hope.

3 - For our Board of Directors Visioning Weekend & Meeting, January 26-28 at Camp Hope.

Happy Sabbath!

In His Service,
