Presidential Blessing: September 23, 2017
.
Greetings from Abbotsford - home, sweet home! Today, I will worship the Lord, together with my family, and assist Tom Glatts in the induction of Luc Sabot and Melissa Cooke as they start their Ministry in the Abbotsford church. Please pray for the spiritual success of their service in our sister Church & community.

Last week we introduced the topic of stewardship and expanded a bit on its spiritual meaning - the worship of God through the realization that He is the supreme Lord of the universe. However, for this to be become a personal act of worship, one needs to completely surrender himself/herself to God, otherwise this will be just a theoretical perception. A spiritual surrender will make one move from this rational understanding to an action. This can only happen when the person’s heart is touched by gratitude. In the spiritual realm surrender and gratitude are twin sisters! They cannot be separated as one depend on the other for existence, otherwise it is just rhetorical. No wonder Paul reminds us to be always thankful (I Thess. 5:18) – a daily surrender to God through gratitude for His presence and blessings in our lives!

We need to realize how imperative this matter is in our walk with the Lord – surrender and gratitude. When we fully understand and practice this, through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, who we are and what we have been entrusted with by God will be placed at His feet for the enhancement of His Cause and of Service to others, in His Name. The more we surrender ourselves to God, are grateful to Him, and allow ourselves to be used by Him, the more His blessings will continue to naturally flow in our lives, for His glory. Then, stewardship is not what we do, but who we are, through a daily, personal, and intimate relationship with God!

Please pray:

Our relationship with God; Health Share at Camp Hope this weekend; upcoming Men’s and Women’s Ministries Retreats at Camp Hope (check our website for online registration), and the Seeds Conference sponsored by the BC Conference & Church in the Valley on October 20-21 – a must for leaders (poster attached). We will send a special letter about this Conference next week. Also, for the BC Conference Board of Directors Meeting on Sunday, October 1.

Happy Sabbath!
In His Service,
