Presidential Blessing: June 17, 2017
Greetings from Campbell River, gorgeous Vancouver Island! Today, I will be of service to the Campbell River Church (am) and the Comox Valley Church (pm). Please pray for these church families as they fulfill God’s mission – to bring Jesus’ salvation message to their local communities.

A friend of mine sent me a beautiful quote recently. I thought of sharing it with you with the desire that it reaches your heart as it reached mine.

“God takes men as they are, with the human elements in their character, and trains them for His service, if they will be disciplined and learn of Him. They are not chosen because they are perfect, but notwithstanding their imperfections, that through the knowledge and practice of the truth, through the grace of Christ, they may become transformed into His image.” DA 294.4

I rejoice when I read messages like the one above. It gives me the assurance that God is not done with me, yet. This brings me hope and faith that I serve a Heavenly Father Who is keenly interested in me, my spiritual growth, and ultimately my salvation. We should always depend on Him alone and place our lives in His hands as we serve those around us, in His Name. We are called to represent Him! This involves a personal, intimate, and daily relationship with God.

I pray that as we go and serve the Lord and His children today, that we do everything in our capacity to honor our Father and allow Him to shine through us, for His glory.

Please pray for our Camp Meeting preparations as well as for its spiritual success. This is the major gathering of the saints in our Conference as it also provides many ministries training opportunities. Please pray for the speakers and for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in all participants.

Happy Sabbath!

In His Service,
Wesley Torres, D.Min.
