Presidential Blessing: June 10, 2017
Greetings from Abbotsford! Today, my family and I will have the privilege to attend our home church as ordinary members. We are so thrilled with this because our daughter is here with us (vacation) and we have not had many of these opportunities, lately.

I attended two graduations this week, including a Class Dedication in one of our churches last evening. It was exciting to see the happiness in the faces of the graduates as God blessed them in their achievements. I heard beautiful messages of gratitude that touched my heart. This morning I felt motivated in my heart to search for a message about this topic. I found a touching quote (below):

“Let the fresh blessings of each new day awaken praise in our hearts for these tokens of His loving care. When you open your eyes in the morning, thank God that He has kept you through the night. Thank Him for His peace in your heart. Morning, noon, and night let gratitude as a sweet perfume ascend to heaven.” EGW, MH, 253

This week, I had an experience, among others, that brought joy to my heart. I visited one of our schools and attended the lower grades class during its worship time. At the time of prayer, a young child (6 years old) prayed specifically for me… I treasure that moment and her words as they are still echoing in my ears. I thank God for it, today.

My prayer is for us to become more appreciative and grateful for the blessings we receive from God every day. Also, I would like to request you to pray for our students as they are concluding their school year. Please pray specially for those who are graduating so that the Lord continues to guide and inspire them in their lives.

Happy Sabbath!

In His Service,
Wesley Torres, D.Min.
