Presidential Blessing: May 20, 2017
.
Greetings from North Okanagan! Pastor Brake and I are in this region this weekend. Today, He will be of service to the Salmon Arm church and I will be assisting the Armstrong, Enderby, and Grandview churches with their vision. Please keep these church families in your prayers.

Last evening, we had a special service at the Armstrong church. A visiting preacher delivered a timely message. He emphasized the importance of being where the Lord wants us to be and for us to be doing what He wants us to do. The point was brought home with such power that one of the elders was inspired to offer a beautiful prayer at the end of the service. He highlighted this message and placed all of us in the Lord’s hands to achieve that purpose.

I would like to capitalize on this point and encourage each and everyone of us to search our Heavenly Father in prayer and ask Him for this to be a reality in our lives today. I am reminded of Jesus’ words in John 15:16: “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last.” (NIV) This message gives us the peace of mind that we all need as we work in His vineyard. We are His and He is the One Who has called us for His work, for His glory!

On another note: My luggage finally arrived at home in the middle of this week. I wish you were there to see the faces of my children when they opened the gifts sent to them by our relatives… In the same way, I cannot wait for the day to see God’s face when we will all gather together and present Him the gifts of our labor for His Cause – the souls that we worked with, prayed for, and exercised a positive influence in their lives, by the Holy Spirit’s power. That is why He has called and appointed us to be His hands and His feet… The angels would have loved to do this work. Let us always remember: We have been called by God to be where we are and to do what He wants us to do for Him. We should never lose sight of this calling! “And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jer. 3:15 (ESV)

My prayer today is for us to believe Him fully, give Him full control of our lives, and allow Him to direct us according to His plan for us – one day at a time! (I Peter 2:5)

Blessings.

In His Service,
