.
Greetings from Lillooet! Today, Ern Brake and I will be of service to a committed group of believers in town (many of them young families) for the official organization of the Better Living Centre Lillooet Seventh Day Adventist Company. Please keep them in your prayers as they move forward with God’s work in this beautiful area.

It is good to be back in BC after attending the NAD and SDACC meetings. God blessed all of us who were involved in those meetings and we felt that He led in the decisions of the SDACC Board of Directors (BOD). Thank you for your prayers for us. For me, the highlight of the meetings in Oshawa was the closing remark of Elder Mark Johnson to the BOD members. He spoke from his heart and God used him mightily to touch ours as human leaders of His church in Canada. While addressing all of us, he reminded us of our commitment to God’s mission in our country. He emphasized that “The Word must be the center of everything that we do and live by and especially of our worship services to God.”

The WORD… We know that the Word is the Holy Scriptures that were given to us through the prophets and those who were chosen and inspired by God to introduce Him and expose His plans for His creatures. (Amos 3:7; II Tim 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21). Thus, the Word is the special revelation of God to His children. Nevertheless, when we search in the Bible for a description of the Word in one person, it immediately links it to Jesus Christ. He is the Word (John 1:1-3, 14; Rev. 19:13) and the personal revelation of God to us.Jesus embodied the message of hope and salvation to humanity, as this is presented in the Scriptures. So, when we commit ourselves to the Word, we become intimately connected with God’s message and Jesus Christ. This is the better connection that any human person can ever attain! The Word (Scriptures) is a safe guide and a clear path to a rewarding life (Psalm 119:105; Prov. 2:1-6). The Word is the grace, redemption, and peace that gives meaning to human lives – Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:23-24; Eph. 1:7; Heb. 9:12; Eph. 2:14). The fundamental questions we need to ask ourselves are: How engraved is the Word in our hearts? (Psalm 119:11)How well bonded are we with the Word, the life giver? (I John 5:11-12)

My prayer today is for all of us to remain faithful to the Word – Scriptures and Jesus Christ – and be willing to live by and witness to others what the Word has done in our lives.

NB: Please continue to pray for the Cornerstone Church evangelistic campaign, the Let’s Move Kelowna preparations as well as the Marriage Enrichment Weekend (Couples’ Spiritual Retreat) in Camp Hope, March 24-26.

Happy Sabbath!

In His Service,
