Presidential Blessing: September 10
Greetings from Kelowna! I will of service to the Orchard City Church and have the privilege to introduce Pastor Jim Weir to his new congregation today. Excitement is in the air – God is good!

The largest evangelistic series in the BC Conference started this past Tuesday, September 6. On that day over 1,100 brave and excited students went back to our schools for another academic year. Most of our schools experienced real miracles in connection with the hiring of teachers, increase in enrolment, and also some physical renovations in their buildings during the summer. Some schools which were facing difficult challenges with these matters turned around quite positively and started the new year with wonderful accomplishments already. God, with His providential hand and in His own timing, rewarded the faithfulness, dedication, and hard work of our Office of Education, School Principals, Teachers, and Board Chairs who did their human part and decided to depend on Him alone, as they were dealing with the challenges. Good is good!

We praise God and express our gratitude to Him. He has promised us in His Word “For I am the Lord your God, who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’” Isa. 41:13 (NASV). The BC Conference office prayed together with our Office of Education and also with some of our School Principals and School Board Chairs for these challenges and He answered our prayers. God is good!

Now, we kindly ask you to continue to uphold our schools – Principals, Teachers, Staff, Board Chairs, and especially our Beloved Children – in your prayers. Please make plans to call the school and arrange for a visit and an opportunity to show your support and also to pray with them. They have a great task in their hands – 5 days a week – and they need God’s wisdom and guidance for this ministry. EGW states that “our schools have been established for so high and holy a purpose” (CT, 497) and we need to join in with all our School Personnel in this special ministry for our children. God is good!

Also, please include our schools in your daily prayers for their spiritual activities – Morning Devotionals, School Assemblies, Chaplaincy, Weeks of Prayer, etc, during these 120 days (Sept 3-Dec 31). The young souls will also be touched and some will certainly make their decision for Christ. Let us celebrate and thank God for the existence of our 14 schools in the BC Conference. God is good!

Just a quick note: I have received positive feed back and encouraging messages from our pastors regarding the motivational goal to reach 150 Souls for Christ during these 120 Days of Prayer and Working Together. Please see the attached poster. It will be printed and sent to our institutions next week. God has many blessings in store for us. God is good!

Please join me in praying for our schools, churches, and God’s precious souls, today - God is good, always! (Psalm 136).

Happy Sabbath!

In His Service,

Wesley Torres, D.Min.
