HAVING A BLAST AT FRASER VALLEY'S FALL FEST
.
Fraser Valley Adventist Academy had their annual "Fall Fest" on October 25, 2015. Kids, parents, and an assortment of other dedicated supporters of the school came together to have an afternoon full of fun, food, and friends. This year had an international theme, with representations of many different cultures, reflecting the many ethnic backgrounds of the students.

Organized by the home and school association, as well as the high school student association, the event began with people flooding through the doors of the school gym at around 12 o'clock. There was a variety of activities that people participated in: a bouncy castle, jail, face painting, a child's fishing game, a pillow fight, henna designs, and many more. The newest addition to the list of activities was the ladder climb, a custom-built challenge made by Darcy McKay to test one's balance and skills.

There were many exotic dishes from around the world which included Italian, Indian, Spanish, French, and Filipino food. Besides big main courses, there were also lots of snacks to purchase, such as popcorn, drinks, cotton candy, and ice cream. The great amount of food left everyone satisfied.

Although people came to have fun and mingle with others, this event also served as a prime opportunity for different school departments to raise money for their classes. The Fall Fest was very successful, and the students had lots of fun while making money. One grade 10 student said, "It is fun for friends and family to participate every year." Kids and family members already can't wait for the FALLowing year's event.
