What sort of footprint did you leave on the world today? Step back and look at your work. Do you see any footprints in the sand where you added value to someone's world? Are you just "maintaining"?

How comfortable it is to keep doing the same old thing, stick with the tried-and-true, the safe options and the wide rather than the narrow road!

In our weak human nature, the wide road is certainly the more palatable option. Rather than rise to the challenge and follow the narrow path we opt for the comfortable wide road. Jesus warned about the wide path: "Wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who are going through it", and challenges us instead to take the narrow path, "because small is the gate and narrow is the way which leads to life." Matthew 7:13-14

The Board of Directors voted our mission statement: REACH our communities (BC & Yukon) with a Christ-centered message of HOPE and WHOLENESS.

You have taken up the challenge of the narrow way that leads to life. A runner's goal is the finish line. Keeping your focus on the goal – life itself – is vital to traverse successfully along the narrow way. Many obstacles are certain to be found – the potholes of flashy distractions and easier options could lure you away from your purpose. By God's grace you can overcome anything, keeping your focus on the finish line. "Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." John 16:33 NLT

Living outside the personal bubble, while traveling the narrow path, includes the stewardship of purposeful giving.

This may be through appreciated stocks, an income-producing gift or remembering the British Columbia & Yukon Conference in your will. Purposeful giving is a way to ensure we reach the 4.7 million seeds in BC and Yukon.

Will you take up this challenge along the narrow way and "run with endurance the race God has set before us"?Hebrews 12:1 NLT
