On September 3, a group of British Columbia pastors and elders from the Oakridge Church attended a training seminar to become facilitators for a premarital counseling program. Led by Dr. Claudio Consuegra, the director of family ministries at the North American Division, the eight hour class introduced the material and steps on how to help a couple begin thinking about bigger issues in a marriage.

"This course will not train you to be a professional counselor," Consuegra explained. "It will prepare you to facilitate conversations that will prepare a couple for marriage."

PREPARE/ENRICH is the leading relationship inventory and skill-building program used nationally and internationally. It is built on a solid research foundation and significantly improves a couple's relationship. PREPARE/ENRICH is custom tailored to a couple's relationship and provides couple exercises to build their relationship skills. (from the website).

NOTE:  Another class will be offered on December 6, 2015 in the Fraser Valley. If you are interested in attending, or having your church leaders trained, please contact Kumar Dixit.
