The ministerial department has created a Pastor Shadow Week to support the pastoral interns who are just starting in ministry.

The purpose of Shadow Week is to take some time out of the pastor's district and visit a few other churches. We want to the pastor to get a glimpse of how other churches and pastors are doing ministry in their context. While most ministers have taken courses on some of these topics, it is helpful for you to have a refresher.

On September 13-20 Pastor Joel Duntin inaugurated the first Shadow Week.He was in many senses our guinea pig.He spent the week attending many meetings, making visitations, and observed the planning stages for large programs that are being planned in the future.  Duntin and his wife, Sally not only spent time at Oakridge, but also at Church in the Valley, as well as connecting with many of the metro pastors.
