CRESTON CHURCH HEALTH PRESENTATION ON HEART DISEASE
.

Health presentations have become a regular feature of Creston Church's annual outreach plans. In keeping with this, local retired Adventist physician Dr. Sid Kettner has just completed a series of six lectures.

The topics covered heart disease, obesity and diabetes, cancer, stress, stroke and hypertension ending with a presentation on making positive health choices.

Dr. Kettner was a general practitioner in Creston for many years and his approach was very practical especially in identifying risks and symptoms and presenting lifestyle choices that can greatly reduce those risks. Samples of healthier food choices were available each evening.

Those attending from the community expressed appreciation for the helpful insights. Although retired from active medical practice, Dr. Kettner continues to be involved with health evangelism both at home and overseas and has a passion for teaching people how NOT to get sick.
