Good morning, friends! I was invited to be of service and ordain one Church member to serve as an Elder and two members to serve as Deacons in the Kamloops Church this morning. Those three dedicated members have been prayerfully selected by the Church body because of their faith in Christ, commitment to God’s Cause, positive attitude, and a clear evidence of their calling to serve the Lord and His children in Kamloops. What an honor and responsibility for me to officiate this ceremony and for them to respond to this calling from the Church family!

While as I was driving through the beautiful and white mountains, a thought came to my mind. Isn’t that what God’s plan is for all of His faithful Children? Yes, He has called all of us to be of service to humanity, given the variety of gifts that He has bestowed upon us (I Cor. 12: 4-11). A positive response and a humble attitude to His calling as one places himself/herself in His hands is what qualifies and prepares them to receive His power and be of a full service, with the anointing of the Holy Spirit in their lives. This is why the Bible is clear when it declares: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light” I Peter 2: 9 NIV. God has called and ordained us – you and I – to be of a royal and holy service and represent Him before all His children whom He also wants to save and offer them the opportunity to be “royals” in His Kingdom.

My prayer is for you and I to go and serve God’s people in His Name and lift up the royal banner of His love to be His channel of blessing to all of those we come in contact with, today and always!

Happy Sabbath to you, your families, and Church families.

In His Service,

Wesley Torres, D.Min.
