Stanley Douglas Stanley Douglas Rogers, 65, passed away suddenly April 16, 2014 in Chilliwack, BC.

Chilliwack's The Progress Newspaper has a report on his sudden and unexpected death.

Born in Armstrong, BC, predeceased by parents Alfred and Pauline Rogers (Wettstein) and survived by brother David (& Peggy) Rogers & sister Carol (& Herb) Domke.

Stan leaves a vacancy for his wife of 10 years, Anita Rogers (Brouwer) and stepson Corbin Kempenaar as well as Stan’s children Cameron Rogers, Collin Rogers, Gina Brillinger (Rogers) and 6 grandchildren.

Stan is remembered as an entrepreneur, developer, community builder, volunteer, follower of Christ, loving father and husband with a tireless work ethic, a generous heart, and a passion for making a contribution.

He spent 18 years growing Rogers Foods Ltd before spending the next 24 years in property development, most recently as the founder and president of Legacy Pacific Land Corporation since 1996.

Stan was a member of the BC Conference Building Committee. Stan also played a major role in building the Vernon Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Celebration of Life will be held 2 pm Friday, April 25 at Evergreen Hall in Chilliwack, BC (9291 Corbould St. A reception is to follow at 4 p.m. at the Best Western Rainbow Country Inn, 43971 Industrial Way)

The bereaved family has suggested in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Stan Rogers can be made to Camp Hope.

 1. Cheques can be made out directly to Camp Hope and mailed to: BC Conference, Box 1000, Abbotsford BC  V2S 4P5

2. Seventh-day Adventist Church members may donate directly on a tithe envelope by writing an amount for Camp Hope and designating it “Camp Hope Capital Campaign”.

3. Online giving to the BC Conference website; click online giving and log in to register.  There is an offering code listed: “Camp Hope Capital Campaign”.
