The British Columbia Conference of Seventh-day Adventists held it's first ever Northern BC Pathfinder Camporee at Kispiox, BC from September 27 to September 29, 2013.

The grade 5-9's at Spring Creek Adventist Christian School along with their teacher Mr. Schwab, aide Mrs. Barker, and Laura Lee Booth (parent volunteer), spent the weekend with Pathfinders from Hazelton, Smithers, and Kitwanga.

Although it was very wet and cold, the Pathfinders had lots of fun learning camping skills such as: canoeing, making bread on a stick, making a fire with out matches, reading a compass correctly, setting up tents, and making a chair with ropes and pieces of sticks tied together.

Thanks to Dr. Prakash Shrestha, owners of the land and Directors of the Hazelton Pathfinders for inviting us. As well for the use of the cabins.

Pastor Brian Wahl, the Youth Director of the British Columbia Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Church of Canada taught us many spiritual lessons about how to prepare for the future. He used simple materials such as foil paper, playing cards, and pipe cleaners to make his presentation interesting.
