Who Shall Be Able to Stand?
Greetings! Today, I will share God’s Word with the Westminster Church family as they are having a special convocation for prayer. Yes, prayer works!
I participated in the Let’s Move Kelowna Rally (follow up) at the Rutland Church in Kelowna this past Wednesday. Chris Holland,It’s Written Canada Speaker/Director was the speaker. The church was packed! It was exciting to see the support from the Kelowna area churches. Many interested people from the evangelistic campaign (being followed up with) were present. Pastor Holland presented an encouraging message and challenged those present to stand firm on God’s promises found in the Scriptures and especially in the book of Revelation. Yes, the devil is busy trying to deceive as many people as possible. His snares are all over and we will only be able to stand and be saved when we depend on Christ alone. Yes, we find comfort in His promises of protection and deliverance of His faithful children:
“When the testing time shall come, those who have made God’s Word their rule of life will be revealed. In summer there is no noticeable difference between evergreens and other trees; but when the blasts of winter come, the evergreens remain unchanged, while the other trees are stripped of their foliage. So the falsehearted professor may not now be distinguished from the real Christian, but the time is just upon us when the difference will be apparent... the true Christian will stand firm as a rock, his faith stronger, his hope brighter, than in the days of prosperity.” EGW, GC, 602. Then, “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”Rev. 2:10 (NKJV)
Standing on God’s promises is the safeguard and hope of our faith today and always!
